This is the first ISPD where I was not able to take advantage of any of the deals from the multitudes of places offering them. This month 3 of my Min Pins found my pack of sugar free gum and decided to eat it..The gum contained xylitol which is lethal to dogs and I had to put out just a few dollars short of a thousand in vet services. the dogs are doing well so far, one still needs more blood work in a few days to recheck her liver levels, so I consider it money well spent. I will have to wait for my tax refund to be able to hit play on just one of my many filled shopping carts..maybe .. I may just get myself a few rounds of samples from Sterling Tobacco and call it a day just to keep it simple and not have to edit any of my carts and buy them when I have the avalible cash one at time.

I didn't even look at any of the deals this year. Any truly good deals or just a bunch of 10-15% off sales?

Damn! Wishing your pups a speedy recovery! As for the sales... Meh, I take advantage when I have the money to spend but dont worry about it if I dont. I have enough tobacco for now, though I do need to pick up more Plumb Cake soon..

That's a real bummer, Mike. Dogs can run up quite a bill. I'm glad they're doing good now. Pipe stuff can wait until another day.

I didn't know of that hazard for dogs. I will take this as a warning! I did pickup a nice Peterson billiard from Cup O Joes at a real nice price.Of course, I didn't need another pipe, but it was a real nice price.

The first 12 hours you need to worry about hypoglycemia.. once past that it takes up to 3 days to see what affect it will have on the liver and then treatment for that continues..not good.

I didn't buy any tobacco on IPSD this year either. I'm still darn irritated at the new Cal law that you have to provide proof of age to buy tobacco shipped to California. Thankfully I have a pretty good cellar. It should last me a while.

We have had a few scares with xylitol, but were so far the dogs have not ingested any. We have incurred vet bills for chocolate being eaten though.

Thankfully I have a pretty good cellar. It should last me a while. And fingerprints to buy ammo. But at least the cities look the other way on criminal activities.😛 As for IPSD sales, I was always eager to get in on the deals in the past, and it often paid off well. But I am at a point that my stash is fine.. it really takes something to get me to move the mouse.
