Peter Karagianis, owner of Happy Jack's Cigar, Pipe and Tobacco Shop in Laconia, said cigar smoking has "plateaued at a high point" and pipe smoking is enjoying renewed popularity, and he voiced sympathy for customers who want to indulge in a cigar or pipe.

And they are looking at possibly rolling back anti smoking regulations.

New Hampshire is quite the opposite of it's neighbors in Mass and Vermont. Good for them. As for Virginia, I can remember driving through Richmond and the air was permeated with the smell of raw tobacco. How times change.
