I think cellphone misuse is a symptom and not a cause. That societal decline and the destruction of the family started decades ago. It is just seen more clearly with smart phones and video games.

One here, basic TracFone. No idea what the #is, probably somewhere on the receipt in a desk drawer. Wifie was gifted a "JitterBug" for Xmas, waiting for her "baby boy" of 53 to bring it here & xplain in plain English how to use it. Mine, only used for outgoing if power failure at home & need to call emergency. Only take it with me if leaving town for a spell. We have Spectrum 3-1 plan for near 15yrs. Landline, TV & high speed internet for flat rate. The son did some compare research...found what we do is the best overall for the price
Question for all: seems I seen on TV or in newspaper that over 80% of spam, scam calls are thru cell phones, small % thru landline. Anybody agree?
Both of us approaching 80, happy with the program we have. Families know best way to reach us if needed

I have resisted the Smart Phone and stick with the old Flip. It accepts Text and is laborious about it.  |

I've got a flip phone also...I don't want to be bothered with all the internet crap and other stuff on the Iphone...I leave that to my wife...she enjoys her...good! Don't bug me to get one as I am fortunate to just make a phone call and have it go through.
