I’m not a VA fan (my tongues decision, not mine), but I put together a nice easy smoke for the nice weather.
3oz dark burley 2oz red va .5oz Turkish .5oz perique Sprayed with whiskey and oven roasted for a bit
Bring on summer!

An added bonus is that my wife enjoys the room note. She can't stand the smell of Latakia, but we all have our faults. I've longs since forgiven her.

Sounds tasty alright...I here a slow cooker works well for such things, but I've never tried it.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does the oven roasting do? Kind of meld all of the flavors together?

Mac Baren London Blend Burley is some outstanding stuff. Top flavour I concur, I just tried this the other day, and in spite of the fact that I generally don't care much for toppings, this is a very good blend.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does the oven roasting do? Kind of meld all of the flavors together? I’ve only ever used it to speed up the flavoring process. I’ve done the same with rum, and have had good results with it. I wanted to have it sun/air dried, but it always seemed to be cloudy and windy when I wanted to experiment. Patience is not a virtue I possess, unfortunately.
