Currently encrusted in diamonds ... stuck on with pure, liquid gold. Drinking some 1000 y.o. Rum coughed up by the Kraken while smoking the last cigar from Winston Churchill's private stash.

Since I’m not golfing today and don’t need my golf watch, decided to wear something different. Nice watch, Ted...got a new one myself, courtesy of my brother.

I keep telling myself I'm going to get a Tank or a Santos one of these days, but so far all I've done is talk to myself about it. Which model is that?

Am I dumb if I ask what is a golfing watch? Plus fours, argyle knee socks, jogging bra, and roller skates. Got my pyramid-shaped aluminum foil hat on, too. Not at all Emily. It has a built in gps instead of using a hand held device to determine distance etc. Huh. Cool. I haven't golfed in eons, but I could have used a tracking beacon on my golf balls!

You and me both! Some days I have to wonder.... Oh well, it’s one of the few things you can still do with friends during Covid.

The Tissot is a replacement after the original crapped out. Same features except it no longer has the met feature I think. I have a couple of nice watches but rarely wear them anymore. The joys of being a retired “bum” I guess.

Europeans are much more aware of their quality than Americans are for some reason, I think.

Been painting today, so it's a working shirt & jeans, with my smoking jacket-- dubbed my "haggis coat" by the princess. It has almost enough pockets & is incredibly comfortable

Black cassock and swim fins with nitrile exam gloves and Grandma's diadem. Is this the oblong diadem with blasphemous icthoid designs?

Black cassock and swim fins with nitrile exam gloves and Grandma's diadem. Is this the oblong diadem with blasphemous icthoid designs? You guys sent me down a Lovecraft audiobook rabbithole a while back. I noticed his two favorite words seem to be "blasphemous" and "cyclopean," the latter often occuring in contexts where it seemed not to belong. I believe in Mountains of Madness he described a wall as having "cyclopean masonry." Does that mean it looked like the bricklayer lacked depth perception?

HPL also liked describing alien things as having non-Euclidean angles. I'm no good at maths, so that just sounds nonsensical to me. Lovecraft often chose words to evoke a mood rather than based on their meaning.

Black cassock and swim fins with nitrile exam gloves and Grandma's diadem. Is this the oblong diadem with blasphemous icthoid designs? Yes. It's made of Darwin fish, nine on the Blasphemous Scale. See what I did there? I admit that I had read no HPL until a few years ago, when I got his collected works, a cyclopean volume. As much as I love the language, I reach a saturation point in reading him. He is best in small doses for me.

"normal" fairly clean'ish Haband fleece drawstring pants, only two small burn holes. something resembling socks & "house shoes" (better soles than slippers). Haband flannel shirt with only a few spilled food marks on the front. Ahhh, the life of don't give a sheet what it all looks like to anybody who might show up. Am looking forward to around May so can wash all & make use of clotheslines.

Lovecraft often chose words to evoke a mood rather than based on their meaning. I see. Interesting. When people think about the cyclops, they think about the one eye as the most important feature, whereas if encountered in person, the singular eye would be almost unnoticed with the huge bulk looming over you. The next concern is that the eye isn't looking at you.
