I wore suite every work day for thirty years. Have some lovely ones but never wear them.
I have a tailor made Navy Blue Chalk Stripe Double Breasted made in a 1940s style. Remarkable the effect it has on Head Waiters and Maître D's.

I typically wear one when I fly just for the extra pockets. Noticed the behavioral change later.

I was tall and lean and was told I looked like the Prince of Wales in that suit by a coworker. SO, one night on a lark. I went to a very high end French joint in Manhattan. Marching up to the Captain, I announced a party of four. He asked about a reservation. I said "None". He asked my name wile looking up and down at my handsome obviously bespoke Double Bested Suit cut in an old style. I responded in a loud accented voice "Olav... King of Norway". It so happened Olav was a member of my yacht club in San Francisco and I knew him slightly. Not all that much older than me and a fine Yachtsman. Olav and his son were humble easy people not like the British Royal fussbudgets. BTW, he drove a Saab. Anyway the Captain, Maître D, waiters, and everyone else bought it. That was some evening. Everyone with me got into the flow of the act. I had one of my guests pay the bill as Kings never pay.

usual collection of reasonably clean'ish house rags all from Haband. Drawstring pants, a tee underneath thermal tops of some sort, vest (couple pocket for misc), house shoes (a step above slippers) & most important, per wifie's insistence), no undies, has been xplained much earlier.

I’m not lying, every pair of pants in my dresser are Wrangler 13MWZ cowboy cut jeans. Every single one. Including the ones I conduct church services in. Been wearing that 1 model of jeans for well over 30 years. The only thing that changes are the size 😆
So of a morning, any morning, I basically have 1 decision to make. What shirt am I wearing today?
