I love turning people onto different pipes and tobaccos, really cool; however, I also don't mind seeing a return on investment on cellar tins. Win-win if it's a push.

I've found this to be especially true at pipe shows. There's nothing like being in a large room full of a hundred or more pipe smokers enjoying each others company, and sharing opinions on pipes and tobacco. Also the smell is terrific.Nothing else quite like it.

We actually were discussing this a bit at our last club meeting. We had a bit of a false alarm with some weather and the meet got cancelled, only to be un-cancelled (made that up). Our group was a bit smaller than usual, but it was rather nice being a bit more one on one. It is amazing thought how you can put a bunch of people into a room with the common thread of pipe smoking and everyone seems to get along. The generosity is astonishing as well.

Where else can you sit back relax have a pipe with like minded people and think and share your thoughts?
