Being at home bored all day can send you into some youtube holes. Here's some pics of the deep-sea Magnapinna Squid, taken from a submersible launched from the Shell Perdido oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. They grow up to 23 feet long, and check out how deep they are. youtube magnapinna squid for some videos. This thing needs it's own spooky music. Now just try and tell me aliens don't exist.

Can't even imagine the stuff in the very deepest parts of the canyons in the oceans around the world...stuff of alien movies for sure.

That thing is definitely outta this world! I love watching shows about the ultra-deep ocean creatures ... so many of them light-up (bioluminescence) it's insane.

I will leave him alone as I don't plan on visiting that depth. Just watched Skull Island where King Kong ate one that size that wanted to snack on him. We eat Calimari all the time, but my son says that when the Old Ones come, they will eat us first.

She's purdy. I'm partial to big-eared cephalopods, anyway.

Anyone see the UFO footage shown on The McLaughlin Report last Sunday? This was USN F-18 cockpit film of a pursuit against a 120-knot headwind. The Navy plane could not close the distance. Interestingly, absolutely no heat signature from the UFO. No jet or rocket propulsion. Means of power unknown. The Navy issued a statement that the UFO was not from any Earthly government.

I am off topic. This thread should be about terrestrial deep sea critters. Sorry for the distraction.

I watched the video and I'd say you're on topic ... that was a Sea Turtle riding the Eastern Australia Current.

Like trying to drill a pipe stem with a flexible, 50 foot wire. Underwater.

Still $2.45 to $2.55 here as of yesterday. Yep, $2.50ish in the Phoenix area.... Phoenix receives their gas from a California pipeline. An hour and a half south of us, Tucson gets theirs from a Texas pipeline, and they always have cheaper gas. Kinda sucks. www.gasbuddy.com/USA/AZ

A lot of people in Houston and Louisiana are really hurting now aside from the virus. Enjoy the cheap gas while it lasts, but remember the hard working people who brought it to you.
