I just put through an order for a bunch of different tobacco types, including for the first time a chocolate cavendish.
I love mixing my own and experimenting. Anybody every try something silly with some chocolate tobacco?

I actually just mixed up a batch based on my "Commoner's Mixture", and added some chocolate and coffee flavoring. It's predominantly Burley, so it "should" turn out pretty good. We'll see how the Latakia works with it, though. I might have wasted 4oz. of tobacco. Whatevs, though. I'll smoke it anyway.

I was thinking (in parts): 3 burley, 2 Latakia, 1 Turkish, 1 chocolate, 1 perique.

Occasionally I mix up Burley Lite W/O Bite and Perique. Smells and tastes like German chocolate cake, the stuff with coconut on it. Have nearly been accosted by people exclaiming how great it smells. Plus for me is the Perique boosts nicotine so I can enjoy something fully and people nearby think it's great. I tend towards heavy handed applications of Perique but even when dialed back some the note is still chocolate forward.

I used 30% Sutliff Cube Cut, 30% Sutliff ERR, 10% 515 RC-1, 8% 507-S, 7% Latakia, 2% Black Cavendish, and 3% Perique. Then I added about 10 drops Inawera Coffee, 10 drops FlavorArt Chocolate, and 5 or 6 drops FlavorArt Vanilla classic. Mixed it up well, and now it sits in a jar.

I have a few new ideas I wanted to put up here. Thoughts? Back in Black
3 parts AAA burley 2 parts Latakia 2 parts Sutliff Chocolate mousse 2 parts bright VA 1 part smyrna 1 part perique Cadillac Blood
3 parts AAA burley 2 parts sutliff chocolate mousse 1 part smyrna 1 part bright VA 1 part perique I tend to let my recipes get too "busy," but there's just so many good tobaccos out there! Any ideas are welcomed.

A little bit always gives me a nice chocolate note...a lot tends to bog-down recipes for me. That being said, I have no issue with going 30% perique if the rest of the bill supports it (usually Turkish and Latakia). Perique is the tobacco God's gift to pipe smokers!

Well I got my mixers today and tried 2 blends:
2 burley 2 chocolate 1 Turkish 1 perique 1 bright va (only added to 2nd blend)
Of the 2, I really like the one with VA. It added some bite and balanced the chocolate out. Gunna jar 7 oz and try to wait a couple months. The blend is aesthetically pleasing also. I know that doesn’t matter nearly as much, but it’s an added bonus.
Thanks for all your comments!

I already forgot about mine. I'll have to try it and see if it's melded at all.

Oh I bet it's delicious! I made a rum-blend that was a difficult smoke, so I forgot about it in the cellar. Found it 6 months later and it was a smooth, even burning blend. Time heals all wounds.
