I've always liked pickled beets..None that I buy in the stores though are as good as I remember my grandmother's being..Shes been dead for a lot of years now but I still remember how good those beets were..Now and then though when I'm sitting smoking my pipe thinking of days of old I wonder if they were really as good as I remember them being..The same applies to pipe tobacco.I wonder if we could some how smoke some of the long gone pipe tobacco blends if they would be as good as we remember them being.

I too love these! My grandmas home canned, and my moms since she has grandma's recipe. Have not had them in years.

I too love pickled beets. Water, apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper.

My Father loved them, when I married and we had our first family dinner, my wife took a big helping of pickled beets and said they’re my favorite. My father said in French, I knew she was a good one. I don’t like them.
