Sounds terrible to me, but you enjoy! Smoked straight rustica years ago. Wondering what it's like in a blend. Plus, it gives me something to break in an XL Dunhill I've got on the way.ð

I thought my wife bought expensive pots! That happened because it couldn't pass a pipe cleaner and it was straight.

Did you consider fixing it? 5 minutes with a drill.

Did you consider fixing it? 5 minutes with a drill. Not when I have full bents that can pass a pipe cleaner. If I run into a pipe that doesn't meet my expectations it goes into the trash. The straight LB pictured above and a Shell Briar zulu both served me better as planters until Winter cold cracked them. A straight Ruby Bark 3103 2007 I had also failed the cleaner test and I traded it for two tins of Mephisto. The only time I drill a pipe is when I'm carving one.ð

Thanks for the heads up, it sounds like this blend has some horsepower, I would have liked to buy 10, but settled for 5 to keep it at the century mark.

I know that it is after the fact, but there is a guy in the community that sends pipes and tobaccos off to military men and women, and they are appreciative. You might be able to claim a deduction on your taxes also.

I won't address tossing pipes.
Rustica Flake exists!? I don't buy tobacco any more. [Looks up Rustica Flake at smokingpipes]

Sounds like a waste of good pipes to me, but to each their own. Were they good, I would agree, and they were taking up valuable puzzle space.

I have to ask, are you F'n NUTS ðĪŠ? How does that make me nuts? I can't bring myself to pass on a pipe I find bad to someone else. On a relatively good quality pipe, it only takes a few minutes to fix any issues. And a lot of people would not be nearly as picky as you. I only have about 200 pipes and a lot of them are cheap, but I only have had a very few that went OK to smoke. And plenty of people would love to have a Dunhill "second".

HOLY CRAP! THIS BLEND CONTAINS NICOTINE!!! YOOWEE! I snuff Rustica everyday, and this is some potent stuff! It's also really good, really stout, and no bite whatsoever. I even got the "cigar throat" from it, which hasn't happened in two years. Five thumbs up! It gets the Potential for Making You Nic Sick award for "Don't smoke it on an empty stomach!". chasingembers - this might just be the blend that gives you a nic rush!

Think of OJK as diluted vodka in comparison. This is like Bacardi 151.

Finished a smoke in my Dunhill magnum about an hour ago. Well, Rustica tastes good, but had to follow the smoke with a cut off of a Redman plug.
