Was going to order another Forever stem for one of my cobs and found this on their website at Walker Briar Works. - All Good Things Must Come To An End We have been in the pipe business for 50+ years, the last 12 with ‘Forever’ Stems. At the ages of 70 and 78, Sue and I have decided (and at Missy’s insistence) that it is time to retire and relax a little. Added to that are possible future supply problems. Our stem blanks are made in Italy, a country particularly hard hit by the Corona Virus, so future supplies may be kind of iffy; one more reason to bring things to a close. Our website shows currently available stems and will continue to. WE WILL SELL THE STEMS UNTIL THEY ARE GONE. We thank everyone who has been with us for Pipe Repairs, Estate Pipes, Consignment Pipes, and finally ‘Forever’ Stems, for your business, and most of all, the personal friendships that have been formed. We will miss every one of you. Thanks again for everything. We wish you all health, happiness, and lots of great pipe smoking. Dave and Sue Wolff, and Missy

It's not something we like to think about but most of us pipe smokers have more years behind us than ahead of us..I wish them the very best in their retirement.

Good for them. Time to enjoy life for awhile. Some people enjoy keeping on working.

Best wishes to them. I have availed myself of their products over the years and I always considered them a mainstay of the pipe community.

Didn't they try to shift the stems a few years ago to another seller? Failed miserably if I recall correctly. Hell, I would take over the forever stems for them if I knew anything about overseas ordering. This is a real bummer.

Keeping my fingers crossed. 😀

I've never used the forever stems, but Dave has done some magical work for me in the past, and he's always been great to work with and a joy to talk with. It's great that he's stepping back to enjoy his time, but he surely will be missed.

Not a fan of acrylic at all, but I can see a demand for them. I've never needed to replace a stem on a cob as I never bite down on them. Just hang them from my front teeth with little pressure.

Ah, such a missed opportunity. I knew better, but I delayed.
Maybe some other person will see a void in a niche market and come to the rescue.
We can only hope.
