Back in the 80's, I threw darts regularly back at Jersey's cheese steaks in Campbell, Ca. (San Jose) I was digging in the garage and found the old Nodor Bristle dartboard, and it still is in great shape. I want to get started again, but have been out of the loop for a long time. Mine is so old that it is not a supamatch, simply a Nodor.
Any recommendations on darts?

Most of my free drinks back in school were from winning either darts or pool … good times! I really prefer the Pub Darts and a real cork board but will certainly spend the evening lobbing some plastic darts too.

The old style bristleboard is for the old darts, I tossed a few plastic darts, but never cottoned up to the weight of them. What I like about the bristleboard is the self healing when you pull the darts. I have never thrown into cork unless I missed the outer boundaries of the board... (alcohol may have been a factor)

I used to play a lot back in the day. I have an old style bristleboard hanging in my shed that I will use sometimes.

I had a pro model that I threw at in the house we moved from in 91. Haven't seen it since. I have a couple of nice sets of custom darts around somewhere, probably next to my pool cue.

When we first moved to the area, my wife and I went to a sports bar. I thought of myself as a decent thrower, but I got my butt handed to me by a couple of boys from the base.
I don't play so much anymore. Hah hah.

There's a place in my town that constantly plays this sports channel with dart championships recordings; I've always found the slow motion captures of the throws hilarious.
My friends love darts and even my colleagues bought the whole shebang for the office too, but I don't partake. Don't mind watching, but it ain't no fun to do it myself.

Back when you were very young. They started you out on the Big crayons. Then as you got better, they gave you the small ones. Well, I never got past Jarts. And now they are illegal. LOL Ah. The good old days of dodging a lawn dart.

I'm lucky to hit the board.

I'm lucky to hit the board. I would be too after 30+ years, cataracts, and loss of hand-eye coordination.

I haven't thrown in years. We used to go for a couple pops after the night shift. One Halloween, there was a pumpkin on a chair under the board. We destroyed that poor gourd. After a couple hours, it was two at the board, one at the gourd. Ahh, memories.

Hung one up in our new place a couple months ago. Boy, you talk about "Use it or lose it"! Surprising that after practicing for a couple weeks I could get back to where I was 15 years ago, not too good.

I first started throwing darts at the Edwards pipe shop in Lakewood, Colorado. Occasionally scared the daylights out of the unwary, but had a ball. Never got very good, but the important thing was to have a good time.

I used to have a dart board in my bedroom when I was a teenager. I loved playing. I may have played too much at one point as my elbow got wild sore - haven't played in AGES. I must hang one up somewhere and start over.

Any recommendations on darts? Dart Force 1 in Mesa. Nothing but darts and boards. Really nice lady that runs it. She is a dart encyclopedia.

My board in the man cave. I also have one at the cabin but don't throw too often any more and even then it's not too serious
I remember when I played a lot I was amazed at the technology of the darts and board; the retractable point to reduce bounce outs, the free spinning flights to avoid deflection, the diamond shaped wires on the board to reduce bounce outs. I wish I could still play well enough for any of that to matter

That's a sweet man-cave. Dart board completes it. Actually, no...a snooker table completes it.

I have never played snooker, I have never even seen a snooker table. I would love to play it sometime!

I have never played snooker, I have never even seen a snooker table. I would love to play it sometime! I could spend hours playing it. The full size tables are massive though. Good thing about them is that if you've been playing on a snooker table for a while, it makes pool really easy.

It's pretty much the same concept: big felted table with pockets into which you sink balls in order. For some reason though, I liked snooker better than pool.
Maybe it's because I'm so good at pool I took Stacy to play one night at a sports bar and it took so long we got bored and agreed to go home before we finished one damn game.

Ah man, I saw this fat guy from Minnesota play 4 games in 20 minutes when I was 11 and I don't think anyone got bored. 😅🤠

I also like the fact that you can become a serious competitor and still avoid running to get in shape...and you can also drink beer.
