SO, my doctor died in February. No one told me. I was supposed to see him and there was no onet there. The office had closed long ago.
Now I am having problems. My dissolved oxygen number is lower than my heart rate number and I am retaining water. Candidate for Congestive Heart Failure. I want to see a doctor. No can do. No one is seeing patients anymore, nor taking on new patients or doing anything. I was told to go to the ER. The alternative is death.
This is nuts. The health care system cannot come to a halt because of this virus.

The doctors here schedule appointments so they don't have folks sitting in the waiting room..The hospitals have started doing elective surgery again.Things are opening up just a bit.

This is rough. I don't know what to suggest except go to the emergency room in Albuquerque? Go to Trinidad or Alamosa? I wish I could help.

Wow, John. This is ridiculous and really frosts me.
Why in the Sam Hell can you not be able to see a doctor that can take preventative measures to minimize the damage, not to mention costs?
We can piss away 3 trillion on covid-nitwitness, but cannot keep the practices rolling.
If you can find options in Phoenix, let me know, I might be able to help with housing.

Heart goes out to you. It really sucks.
I hope you've gone to the ER, as that seems the better option than doing nothing.
With prayers for your well being.

I am not one to go to the ER in town over non-emergency health care. They have enough problems.
Tomorrow, I will make more phone calls. There has to be doctors somewhere in NM who still treat the living.

Good luck & best to you. Doctor offices are running newspaper ads looking for new patients around here. You will find one.

Toshtego, best wishes for you on this and I hope you can find a doctor quickly. However, should you experience any issues you should go to the emergency room immediately. That's better than no care.

Agree with the above. See someone soon. If it has to be ER, it has to be ER. They can probably get you in with someone who is still doing regular doctoring, too.

I was able to locate a Cardiologist in Santa Fe at Christus St. Vincent Hospital. On Thursday, I have a video conference scheduled. That will save me having to drive 280 miles round trip!!!
I have not participated in a video conference before. Went to town to buy the last webcam at Walmart. After an hour or so, got it working. Holy Crap do I look bad. I did not realize how badly I have aged. I look 80 and am only 69!!! That is the least of my problems. We shall see what happens.

Is there a way you could pack up and move to a nice retirement community near a city with nice weather and good health care? Life would be so much better for you!

I'm glad you've made progress. You have been in my thoughts and prayers; let us know how your chat with the Doc goes.

I'm glad you've made progress. You have been in my thoughts and prayers; let us know how your chat with the Doc goes. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Conference went well. Everything I thought would happen was ordered: Three Day Recording Oximeter, Another Dye Contrast Echo Cardiogram, Blood Tests, Referral to Pulmonologist. I just keep on trying to work the system. Telephone call after telephone call. Hoping someone will call back or answer their phone. NM has long been a difficult place to get something to happen.

Don’t think I haven’t been watching this Tosh, got a lot of irons in the fire, but following your progress! Oh, it is just the old health stuff we senior citizens have to deal with. Just made a bit more complicated by the social distancing.
