Over the weekend my wife spotted an unopened 14 oz can/ tub of CH at one the the fleatiques we frequent while junking. She found the tin full and sealed for .. hold on now...EIGHT BUCKS! After consulting a real guru and showing him the advertisement inside the can, 3 of the Tobacco coupons and $1.50...maybe $3.50(don't have it in front of me) you get a medico pipe. The guru said that is definitely from the 70's.
20 minutes ago I opened the tub and was mezmorized by the aroma.. it was a rich,deep aroma of subtle sweetness. I was actually able to get the chocolate and molasses smell right away and my sniffer is no longer what it used to be. It was far from overpowering like the today's version can be when opening a fresh pouch. The first light caught me and did not let go. I did taste the choco/molasses from the start but it was in no way overbearing. The Burley was so very smooth and I did not have that first puff wince I sometimes have with other tobaccos. This smoked wonderfully from start to finish and smoked do well I didn't even notice that my 3rd relight attempt was an empty bowl. There was no tongue bite at all, no gurgling.. no nasty bottom of the bowl flavor.. nothing but absolute goodness!
This has to be the best tobacco I have had in a long time. 5/5 stars all around!
