I have a friend who says he's a Colorist..He works for a company who make pigments to dye plastic..When a company wants a particular color he goes into a computer program that tells him what percentage of different colors are mixed to get what the customer wants. Then he runs test to make sure all is well.He tells me that companies spend a lot of bucks on research finding out what colors appeal to people..The example he gave me was the golden arches..How do you feel about color? Does it make a big difference to you?..My last three vehicles have been Black..That's the color my wife likes.

I like red. But I am color blind so green looks just as good to me.

I like red. But I am color blind so green looks just as good to me. I, too, am Red/Green Color Blind. My truck is a deep green which I can differentiate in bright sunlight. Traffic Lights are a nightmare. "Green" is white to me. Red is unseeable in the daylight. If a traffic light is not "green" or "orange", it must be red, so I stop. If the light is out, I will sit there until I can see other cars moving. So, I tend to go with the blue/yellow range which I can see. Amazing how much of the world is color coded red/green. Trailer wires? Forget about it. I have someone else handle that.

The manufacturers in their wisdom have decided that they will use red and green LEDs to indicate if the computer is running fine (green) or if there is a problem, (red). I have a set of filters that I used to scan the racks with several times a week. If a light shows through filter B then there's a problem. I drive a red truck, and I can see that it is red. But there are shades that I can't see. Like you the green traffic light looks white. But the shades of red and green they use on the servers are the very shades that 20% of all men have trouble with. 🤔

Male parental is also red/green color blind. He was fine moving to England from South Africa, because all the traffic lights were vertical, and there were only three. Top one's lit, that's red, bottom one is green.
It wasn't good when we emigrated to the States in 75; not only were some traffic lights horizontal, there might be four or five or more. Almost died quite a few times because of that.

Not being colour-blind it's very easy to forget that others have real issues due to red/green colour-blindness. It would suck living over here - everything is green over here.

In the sun I can see most shades of green. I can't say that I see them the same as a fully color capable person would, but enough to see the beauty. East Texas is very green too, maybe as green as Ireland. I will post some pictures after we move. I just have a problem picking out red flowers on a green bush. If I get real close I can see and appreciate them. Driving down the highway the Indian paintbrushs just blend in. If I walk up to them I can tell they're red. I prefer bluebonnets anyway. 😁🤠

There's no snooker over here; it's all pool, and the balls have a number on them. Oh and Ron, sorry, but to an English guy East Texas doesn't look very green at all

I have been playing with those for years.

Then, I cannot see the red light at all. Male Color blindness affects about 8 per cent of the male population. Not enough to make changes in color schemes nor qualify as a "disability". Years ago, it cost me a Private Pilot License, disqualified me from the Police academy. I am not complaining so much as just reporting the consequences of this condition.

I made my living for 21 years as a color cameraman at printing companies. They brought me paintings from all over the world to reproduce. I have ways to compensate for the disability. I see prints all the time that I made the separations for. I worked with the artists and museum curators to get exact matches and if we couldn't match a color perfectly I could create a touch plate to make sure it was right. I made all the separations and corrections for the Dalhart Winberg paintings.

Living in the southwest, you appreciate all the greenery when you see it, it looks like a mighty fine place to relax, Ron.
You need to buy some goat propelled grass cutters.

My wife wants a couple of pygmy nannys. Me not too sure. I've had experience with things that eat while I sleep, and vet bills etc. And we have a perfectly good lawnmower.

That looks stunning. Thanks. So you be the judge. Since you aren't color blind, is it close to as green as Ireland? 😁🤠

I love silver cars, they show dirt less, though my favorite colors are deep forest green, dark brown, and burnt orange.
