My week unfortunately started off with me visiting my Doctor. Can't believe the nerve of this guy, tells me that I ain't gettin no younger!
Sadly, the reason I went there is because my lower back's acting up again. I blew it out 6 or 8 years ago in a car accident. Turns out that the bugled disc under L5 is deteriorating and now I'm getting arthritis on the L4 and L5 vertebrae.
So, I've been on steroids and muscle relaxers since. This means that despite the relatively nice weather, there won't be any golf'n for me for a week or 2.
This afternoon Blondie worked a short shift and my sons, down visiting from Raleigh, were runnin around with some of their friends, this left me with time on my hands and more than one way to spend it.
Since golf was outta the question, and the pools not opened up yet form the Zombie Apocalypse, I decided to hop on the Harley and go for a ride (with a couple of cigars in tow of course) ;-)
I rode around for a while and found myself at the local Harley dealer. Kind of a weekend hangout for fellow Hog owners. The place has a nice covered deck with comfy furniture and a Taco Wagon usually shows up with vittles and drinks.
After hangin out there for a while I realized that the members bar at the club was now opened and that I could find myself on a nice shaded veranda, watchin folks playin golf on #2, all while sippin a cold one and enjoyin my other cigar.
So, with very little effort I made my way to the club and did exactly that.
All in all, not a bad way to kill a few hours.
