You know that I don't want to buy any more pipes, but you are going to force me to do it if you keep this up. 😕

Stunning...and the brass looks better than the nickel plate. The stem is absolutely gorgeous! it would've been colored completely different if the ferrule was nickel. I'm gonna have to make one, and remake the original pipe. You'll see what I'm mean when it's done.

Seems like if I was going to pay for a custom pipe, I would be willing to pay for silver.

Beautiful. Looks like you've been staying busy. Indeed. It comes in waves. I have several going at once. Sometimes my eyes glaze over staring at the same thing for hours.

Seems like if I was going to pay for a custom pipe, I would be willing to pay for silver. If I was spinning silver, you'd have to be willing to pay for it. At $50 for a 4" piece of .5" diameter, and then the work to make the ferrule, the cost would add up handsomely. I have some silver on order. ;-) I decided to try the preformed ferrules on a whim. Up til now, I've made my own from copper, brass, and aluminum. Now I know why I make my own, and silver will be on the menu soon. C'est la vie.

Wow! Jason, is this pipe for sale? This one has my name written all over it. Let me know please. Sorry, it's a commission. That's 99% of what in do these days. If, on the off chance, I have a non-commissioned piece, I'll put it in the sales section. I'd be more than willing to make you something like this, though. It'll take a little while, due to the backlog. PM me if you're interested.

Band mishaps aside, the blast looks amazing man. Bands often encounter mishaps while having a blast. Just ask Keith Moon.

Maybe it's just me, but I actually like the brass a lot. I don't mind the brass either, the treatment of the rest of the pipe suits it. I was just disappointed that it wasn't as intended. Bob Ross talks about happy accidents, so I'll chalk it up to that.

I like the brass. I have another pipe with a copper band that I like. But silver is ideal. I suppose that the Peterson nickel fittings are just plated too. I don't think pure nickel is very workable.
