Thanks for having me. I have only been smoking a pipe since January. So I'm pretty new to the life and I absolutely love it. Still trying to grow my collection but the budget is tight these days. Even if it wasn't I have a feeling thst my collection would never be complete lol. My favorite shapes are probably authors and bulldogs (which I've yet to acquire) but I like all sorts of shapes. Well there is a little about me... God bless and happy smokes.

Welcome Aboard..Pipe smoking can be expensive if you allow your self to get caught up in the Hype...Grandpa had 2 pipes and and only smoked one blend..He enjoyed it for many years..

Welcome from the Palouse region of Eastern Washington. Like has been said, collections are great, but if cant enjoy 1, you cant enjoy 50. Take your time and enjoy the journey

Welcome from Virginia, you don't need to break the bank to build a fine collection ;the estate market can really save you some money.Antique/junk shops are a likely spot to find Kaywoodies and Grabows, and,now and then, a "high end" piece will come along. I don't know if anyone is ever finished collecting , but you'll learn the meaning of P.A.D. and T.A.D. as you go along. Again, welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum, Major.
As others said, you do not have to have a huge collection of pipe and tobacco to be content, but it does bring a level of satisfaction to have a reserve. I would concentrate on tobacco’s first. Find the types of blends that you like and buy them now, they will rise in price faster than pipes will, I am willing to bet.
