I went for a check up today..I weighed 214 pounds..I'm still a long ways from the 170 that I'm trying to get to..214 was important to me today because it's exactly 100 pounds less than I used to weigh..Losing weight is really hard and it's slower than I wish it was..The doctor was happy with my progress though..I just have to keep it up and stay away from...Cookies

I've been dieting for 18 months and I have lost 30 pounds, but I have plateaued at 232 lbs and I can't seem to get it to move. I really want to get to 200 at least.

Good job on your success so far. Dont quit. I was up to 212 about 4 or 5 weeks ago. This morning I weighed 194. Im looking for 180. Its a slow journey sometimes, but every pound lost is a victory, and makes me feel that much better.

Good job Larry! I don't know about you, but I'm addicted to carbs and they are my downfall. My all time high was 264 and my low in the last 15 years was 196, about 9 years ago. I'm now at 230 and wanting to shed at least 30 pounds, but I have to get away from the carbs. Good luck on your continued journey!

Kelly if you like bread, get on pumpernickel, very low carbs per slice, Pandemic has played hell with my diet. At 225, but should be 200, had to eat what my wife could get in our sparse shopping trips to avoid the virus. Main thing I got lazy and quit useing the treadmill. My fault, canβt blame anyone for that.

I have lost some pounds, just by working at Home Depot. I am getting LOTS of exercise there.
Of course, I am sore and exhausted every day. I was especially annoyed when one of my pants had trouble staying up.

Actually 215 is my target. I was on my way there, then the pandemic hit. I had lost 30 lbs, mainly by eating only 1 meal a day and biking 15 miles a day. But that left me weak. Started getting dizzy every time I stood up. Didn't want to catch COVID while I was that weak so I quit dieting. Gave up exercising too, at least for now. Haven't biked for 3 months. Too busy trying to liquidate by parents estate.

Over 300 pounds here. 6' 3".
When I walk, floors creek and snakes flee.
Yes, I need to drop about 80 pounds. Is that likely?
Meanwhile, pizza pie for supper.

At 212, I had developed a paunch that did uncomfortable, inconvenient things to me when trotting or loping a horse. It had to go. Then, after working on that belly, I was suddenly fitting back in my 33/36 Wranglers again, and my knees are much happier too. And I found an excuse to live on steaks, burgers, sausage, bacon, eggs etc. π Shweetie might have been sceptical of the motivation, but she cant deny the results.

Congratulations and nice work!!! I hope everyone can take your lead. It's the single best thing you can ever do for your longevity. Obesity is the #1 reason why this virus has been so successful.

Me too...my gym opened back up, but I've not been back yet. Like you, I enjoy my own cooking way too much. Bread, pasta, rice, and dairy, like ice cream ,and butter...I know what not to do, but it's sooooo HARD!!! Today is the wife's birthday, so you know I'm up the creek tonight ... Congrats to you ,Larry...you're our hero of the day!

Happy Birthday to your wife, Goldbrick...may she have many more.
Unlike you guys, I'm a shrimp...at 5'5" (lost 3" to spinal stenosis) I only weigh in at 128#'s. Meds take most of my weight off...have to eat alot to maintain 128. Can't exercise since my body is fragile...getting up in the morning is exercise enough for me.
Brother back in the hospital with a blood infection and now his spine is fracturing in numerous places, probably as a result of the various problems that he has including 3 times a week dialysis for 4 hours at a time.

I knew an old cowboy many years ago, up in his 80's, that was a little fella. His DR finally prescribed beer in an effort to get more calories in him. He told me he didn't even like beer! π

I really believe that part of one's weight is Genetics..I've had friends over the years who ate much more than I do and didn't have a weight problem..Elephants eat grass..

Replaced the battery in an old Swiss Army Watch. Still does not run. Irritating.
Anyone had this experience?

Replaced the battery in an old Swiss Army Watch. Still does not run. Irritating.Β Anyone had this experience? . Yep. I have a titanium field model. Battery lasts about 4 years but the current one has been dead for about 10 years. I have about 30 good watches that I don't wear. The best ones are automatic and get their exercise on a winder. I won't buy another battery watch. I hope that I don't ever buy another watch.

I spoke to Jiminks tonight, he has lost quite a bit of weight.
He got a good chuckle when I asked if I could refer to him as Slim-inks.π

got mine couple days ago. 160 at 5-9. Just slight paunch & can handle same ok, esp with my exercise programs. Wear mostly drawstring pants/shorts near everywhere so no "fit" problems. Congrats to others who working on or achieved their weight goals

Congrats on reaching one of your goals. I need to lose weight too. I'm around 200lbs. If I can get down to 190 I'll be happy. Lockdown has not helped in this.
