I have to catch an unexpected flight to Kentucky tomorrow. Im only taking a carryon. Can I take my 2-torch cigar lighter and a can of butane with me on the plane?

"Learn to laugh your way through filing tax returns" -- This I have done, but I was a professional income tax accountant from 2003 to 2017, so it comes with the territory. "waiting in lines at airports" -- I'm pretty sure this would qualify me for a straight jacket - fortunately I rarely ever use the airport. (Have not flown commercially since 2013) "the DMV." -- Now this I could do, just people watch while you are waiting. You're bound to see lots of hilarious things. |

Sitting here at DFW, its like stepping unexpectedly into a dystopian world on tv. Maskes everywhere, people carrying their own wipes and wiping seats before sitting, non-stop warnings over the pa system, planes offering NOTHING inflight...
The motel last night had no drinking glasses for a glass of water, no ice bucket, the hangers were removed from the closet, there was no coffee service, and the airport shuttle van had been discontinued.
My kids surprised me with this trip to Kentucky for Father's Day. My 3 sisters are there with my parents, and it'll be the first time we're all together in 8 years. Im grateful, but man, Ill be glad to get back to the ranch. I dont recognize this world anymore, and I darned sure dont fit.
On a good note, all of my smokes have made it thus far unmolested by TSA. Im using a smaller, square, hard plactic kitchen bowl with a snap-on lide and a bovid pack in my carryon for the cigars. There's a bic lighter in my pipe / tobacco pouch, and that didnt raise any flags either.
