I ordered a pound of the Superior Round Slices from Tobacco Pipes, and the date was December 2018! Pre-aged! At least, somewhat. I got it with the 10% off sale last week. Good deal, I say.

I sure wish we could buy tobacco online and through the mail here in Washington...Alas, I apparently cannot be trusted to make up my own mind, take responsibility for myself, or be left unsupervised.
Let us know what you think about how it tastes.

Let us know what you think about how it tastes. I've had them before. Finishing up my first 4oz, which was about a year and a half old. I didn't like it at first. It was a little astringent, and bitey, but after a year and a half it's become a really great VaKen. The Kentucky doesn't overpower the Va, as it can tend to do. It's just a solid, straightforward blend, with a little sweet and sour. More on the woodsy/spice side of things, with some good raisin notes. No topping, just good tobacco. I just fold up a few coins (Mac Baren dark twist style coins, not bullseye flake), stuff 'em, and off I go.

That's a fun blend. I got a few pounds of it for IPSD 2015 and love it. With the blend components in the coins, the smoke is slightly different every time.👍

It still tastes the same, but it does have nuance. The pipe makes a difference too. I actually like it better in a pot, than one of my skinny VA pipes.

It's been awhile since I smoked those coins but definitely agree that some age is almost necessary. Same for their #400 Flake ... a few years does wonders.

Let us know what you think about how it tastes. Good heavens! How do you get along? Are there still tobacconists where you live? In my town here in Kansas, tobacco has such an antisocial stigma, one must order his Indian Weed online. There is, however a cigar store but their pipe tobacco offerings are pretty slim. Same with a convenience store downtown; plenty of cigars, but not much selection of pipe tobacco. (Can I say "Indian Weed?"Is there another euphemism?)

We have a few pipe and tobacco shops. The smoke shops (read cigarette and cheap cigars) are more prevalent bu lack the selection. The prices are ,understandably, higher. It s not unusual to cross the border to a neighboring state to acquire something new. I also have friends out of state who will take receipt of something and hold it for me. Kind of a "cellaring at a distance" process.
