Third time I've tried this. This time it really "hit the spot" - but only for the first half of the bowl.

My Finest Kind, a black cavendish blend from Milan...it's been around here ,in a zip lock bag, for a year now...when new, I was sure it was Captain Spice, an old Tinder Box blend. this tobacco has toned down a lot over time; I don't think Captain Spice would ever mellow out like this.
A nice change of pace ,in a little workhorse with no name, a small glass of very cold whole milk on the side.
