Good evening. Am I the only one that is addicted to Opening Night?
Few years ago I purchased two tins. I smoked one and I put the other one aside. Honestly I don’t remember my impressions, at that time but since I did not ordered it again maybe I was not so impressed, at least not as I am now. Not long ago however I opened the second tin. Love at first bowl. So I ordered it again. And then again. I cannot stop smoking it.

I have an 8oz. tin sitting in the back of my cellar. Might be two years old now. I'll have to dig it out and see. I haven't been big on C&D, with good European stuff around, except for a select few things.

Well, I’m an avid Virginia smoker. Full Virginia Flake and Best Brown have been a big % of my diet. I have always enjoyed Union Square, and Sunday Picnic as well. But lately I tend to go back to Opening Night. I was looking at the reviews from tobaccoreviews and it seems that lately they have been more favorable, compared to older ones. I wonder if this blend of Virginia has changed/improved during the years.

I have some Sunday Picnic hanging around too. 2 years old, and it's only slightly less green. Have a sample from 2007 that's remarkably good, but that's 13 years old. I know it ages well, but, it has to age. I like me some FVF, and Best Brown. I'm also a big Brunello fan. MaxB Navy is another favorite. Heck, Sutliff Virginia Slices are a great VA too. I dunno, I have trouble with C&D stuff. Especially VAs. I've kinda given up on them.

C&D Opening Night is one of my favorite Virginia's. It works well with at least 6-9 months. I've got some tins aging but I have some mental blip that prevents me from popping most VA's before they turn five. Have you tried Yorktown, another Wolfman favorite. It smokes well fresh (its stoved), but like most every VA, I have more aging.

This reminded me that I had some one year old Opening Night in my celler. Smoking some now, think I will have to get some more to let it age. 😀

…...Have you tried Yorktown, another Wolfman favorite. It smokes well fresh (its stoved)….. Never tried it. For whatever reason I find pressed tobacco super easy to pack and smoke, so I tend to stick to flakes. However I'll make sure to add a tin of Yorktown to my next order . Thanks! Edit: I have just noticed that is available in bulk as well. That makes it even more interesting …

Straight Virginias always take a little aging to become superstars.

It's definitely a good contender. As I said my preference is for pressed tobacco, however I am really enjoying this one.

I had a 10 year old Opening Night in my cellar I bought on a whim. Wish I bought more. At 10 years it was unbelievable.
