Went to the drive through window at a pharmacy today to pick up some pills..They had a sign up that said due to the virus..They no longer take coins or give them in change..When I paid for my pills the fella wiped the bills down before he put them in the till...Things are bad here in Carolina and not getting better..

at Kroger ,today, my change was added to my Kroger card as a form of credit...my bill of 146.43 was rounded down to 146.40, and from $150.00 , I got back 3 bucks ,with a 60 cent credit to my card...the times, they are ah'changing

My wife tends to buy more than we should already! (And she doesn't read here so I can get away with saying that LOL) Worse is me, I would never again be able to set foot in a store with tools, or guns, or pipes, or....

Fixed it for you. In the middle of the worst pandemic in a century, what's crazy about sanitizing an item that's routinely passed from person to person all around the country? That would seem to be a fairly common sense mitigation strategy...

If people are afraid of handling paper money, what about the supposed fact that Covid sticks to plastic longer than paper. And passing that same piece of plastic around town, hand to hand a couple times a day?

I agree that passing a card around to several people is a great way to contaminate it.

The cards I have all are chipped and I just insert them into the reader.

There is no shortage. It's not like people just buried all their coins for the hell of it.
I've always saved mine in a jar, when it's full, I take them to the bank. This time I traded them to the lady at the convenience store I go to everyday. She gave me my drinks and snacks for work free that day.
