Good morning and happy August. Having a second bowl of Cumberland with a Country Gentleman. I misplaced this beauty ten years ago and finally found it again two days ago.

Loading up for some sermonizing on the patio with the aid of a few pipes. Haunted Bookshop in a GBD Pedigree bent billiard; WC Deluxe Crumb Cut in a quarter bent billiard that a friend of mine hand carved for my birthday - his first attempt at a pipe; finally, Red Rapparee in a Ron Powell smooth bamboo brandy.

My favorite Esoterica blends are Dorchester, Dunbar, and Stonehaven, oh and Penzance. In that order. Of course we are talking about rarified air. When these prove hard to get, (most of the time) I satisfy myself with Seattle Pipe Club's Plumb Pudding. I really don't know why Plumb Pudding is so much more available than the Esoterica blends, but it is. Attribute that to my perhaps not as cultured tastes, but being out of Esoterica blends is never really a hardship if some Plumb Pudding is around.
Large bowled Neerup churchwarden, loaded with Plumb Pudding. Coffee, iced, with half and half (my friend calls this Thai Iced Coffee), and volume one of a book in four volumes that I may never get entirely through, but not for lack of wanting to.
I would smoke outdoors on my porch today, but I am tired of looking at my neighbor's house. Note to self, try and someday live where there are beautiful vistas.
I console myself that my neighbor's view from his porch is my house, with me sitting on the porch, smoking.
