Hi, so I was bored and just wondering what types of hobbies anyone's girlfriends/wives have (I'm not married or dating anyone right now, FTR).
(I'm assuming that pipe smoking is probably a strongly male-dominated hobby).

I asked the missus. She said, besides working, laundry, cooking cleaning and putting up with you?😝 But she does join me outside, to smoke the flavored cigarillos. Prefers the Drew Estate C notes mostly. But will try others on occasion.

Shweetie is inching toward empty-nesting, and has taken up scrapbooking, along with her photography.

$hopping! She's a very active people person and spends lots of time with her many friends. She loves knitting, travel, kayaking, biking, gardening and most of all grandmothering.

Quilting, sewing, stained glass, doll-making ,and she'll jump over to the table saw ,or band saw if need be. She helps me outdoors too; fact is, she's on a study roll from the time her feet hit the floor in the morning, till bedtime...the woman has a swifter dust mop growing out of her hand too...plus, every project I start has to be finished yesterday! After fourteen months of retirement, I may go back to work just to get some rest!

Sewing, crafting, watching crap on TV and collecting salt and pepper shakers. The collecting salt and pepper shakers was more active before the pandemic, especially because she usually found old pipes for me to possible restore.

My wife’s favorite activity is telling me what I did wrong, I practice the hard of hearing routine. Shopping is her passion , buying useless shite, I don’t discourage her it keeps her off my arse. She’s a worker, tackles anything, must of been an Amazon warrior in previous life. Oh Scrath offs are her heart and soul, thank God for scratch offs , keeps her off my arse.

Besides taking care of me? Oil painting and smoking the evil weed. Which she actually uses to control back pain.

She retired, so I built her a she shed. It's full of crafting and sewing, and a large screen tv, and Mickey Mouse decorations. She's happy, which makes me happy. Now I just have to find time to built my ham radio shack.

Her unintended hobbies are now meeting with plumbers, electricians, landscapers, contractors as I am on the road and unable to oversee renovations.
I make the money, she spends it.

2 ex's and 1 current. It seems their full time occupation is trying to change me into somebody that's not an asshole. (It's not working)

Having been married to me for 31+ years now, Blondie pretty much tolerates me for the most part. ;-)
We are emptynesters now and Blondie works full time. But she is a pretty avid runner and enjoys the outdoors. She and at least one of my kids get out once a month or so and hit different state and national parks, taking our pound puppy Hank along for the ride.
Our shared hobbies include getting out on the Harley and grabbing coffee, dinner or heading to one of 4 local micro breweries. We also get out on the golf course together once a week or so.

The whole family is into meditation. My wife is the most avid of us. She meditates for two hours per day and really enjoys it. She's been asking me to take her to Japan to take a guided meditation course under some swami she's heard about.
If I can find a way to write off the tickets and hotel, I probably will.

I do not know if it is true or not, but years ago a chap told me that he would travel to Hawaii and interview for a job that he had no intention of taking. He then wrote off a good portion of the trip on his taxes.
It sounded too easy to be true.

In my estimation, girlfriends would make a better hobby than wives.

He then wrote off a good portion of the trip on his taxes. It sounded too easy to be true. He could have legally written off the air fair and one day, at least when I was doing taxes it was so. But the rest of his stay would be considered a vacation. Even with the laws as they were in my time, a critical auditor might have tossed it all anyhow.

Hah hah.
