Smoking in a tent in September in KC doesn't sound ideal....doesn't the casino allow indoor smoking?

Late September in KC is usually quite nice. A smoking tent in KC in late JUNE (old show date) wasn't so pleasant.

The fist KC show I went to was as Scottie described, late June and it was HORRIBLE sitting outside in that weather. I would think Sept would be OK. Will see if I can make it this year, since I will be missing Chicago again.

I need to clarify the bamboo on the Carvers Contest pipe. It does not have to be a bamboo shank. Bamboo just has to be incorporated into the pipe somehow. In my haste to post this on the webs I left off that rather important distinction.

Less than a month left to the show! If you are planning to book a room at the Argosy the group room rate is only good through the 31st! Please make your reservations now. Please join us for our awards banquet on Saturday evening. We will be giving away all our show awards as well as announcing the winners of the Carvers Contest. You won't want to miss it!! And as a bonus everyone who attends the banquet will have a chance to win a "Scottie" pipe! Speaking of the Carvers Contest, have your bought your Carvers Raffle tickets yet? Tickets are 1 for $25 or 5 for $100. We only sell 400 tickets. Don't miss out on your chance to win 7 Bamboo pipes complete with a custom briar slab stand! You do not have to be at the show and we will ship the set anywhere in the world. We (myself in particular) appreciate the support as the raffle is how the winning carvers get paid for their pipes. The more tickets we sell the better their payday will be. Please visit the GKCPC to purchase banquet tickets, exhibitor tables and raffle tickets. I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Today is the last day to get the show room rate at the Argosy! Do not wait any longer to book your rooms! The Argosy has sold out every weekend since they opened (this is no joke). They will be opening reservations up to the general public come tomorrow.
Call the Argosy at 816-746-3100 and mention the GKCPC Show when you book your room to receive the show rate.

I hope someone is taking lots of pictures. I grew up in Riverside and would enjoy being there for the show, but I won't be able to attend. Late September should be nice.

I bought ticket #1 from you at the NASPC show, but unfortunately with my work schedule I'll be traveling that week. It was good meeting you (I was the younger blonde guy that said I want a pipe, but could only buy a raffle ticket at the moment if that rings a bell. Zach.)
Hope you enjoy the show and sell all of the pipes. I'm hoping some how some way I can win that raffle!

One way to ensure you have a better chance at winning is to buy a few more raffle tickets ;-)

Vendor tables are sold out!
There will be a caricature artist onhand Saturday. He will be drawing you and your pipe for $15! It's a heck of a deal and should be loads of fun to watch.
We still have seats available at the Saturday Evening Banquet. Come hear about the history of our club and find out who wins the Carvers Contest! You'll walk away with a goody bag and a full belly. AND...everyone who attends will have a chance to win a "Scottie" pipe as well as a GKCPC Club pipe.
As always, don't forget to purchase your Carvers Raffle tickets!
See you all soon!
