I was recently the recipient of a concern about being (this is the actual phrase, btw) "geriatrically challenged". The speaker applied that phrase to the entire guard unit, because our area of specialization means that we are rank/age/experience heavy. She was concerned that we would not be able to learn how to use the new computer system that was being introduced in the middle of the emergency. I asked her if she was referring to the lawyer who helped install the new computer program at his firm, the just retired 747/F15 pilot who had just retired, the radio antenna engineer, or the cyberdefense network designers, or perhaps she meant the medical insurance billing personnel, the IT instructor, or the physician or dentist? She just kind of ducked her head and turned to other topics.
I say all this only because you don't need to be too worried about the tech, MrLunting. Another couple of months and we'll all just be talking to the Star Trek computer.

If I click on my ‘profile’ and see a number of ‘Likes” most will be repeated five or more times. Why is that?
Also ‘Ronv69’ seems to be very easily pleased. He ‘likes’ just about every post. Is the site pre-programmed to drop his likes on every post whether he’s read it or not?
And finally, if I like a post and am the first to post the ‘like’, Ron will post his and bump mine to the right. Then if another liker appears I am pushed further to the right. into ‘more’. An extremely minor point but an interesting one.

It's how I can ensure that as many posts have my eye cast over them as possible. Ron, on the other hand, is just a likeable guy.

I didn't know that we had that feature. I really also mark them to show myself that I have read them. Sorry if it bothers you.

Can’t speak for others but I’m thrilled you like some of my posts. Makes me appreciate that I’m not writing gibberish and I actually have something worth contributing. Cheers buddy.......

Then there is those of us who usually forget to hit the "like" button...as a result, nothing I read gets liked but only because I am old and forgetful.

I'm sure I'm late seeing this...but I want to make it clear that I have never dated Dunhill. It was just that one weekend, and I'd been drinking...but there was nothing that could be called "dating".
