Hi there from Atlantic Canada!
Where to start? I've been smoking a pipe for over 32 years. I started with a rusticated Medico and a pouch of Sail Green, at the age of 22. I have never put down my pipes ever since.
Over the years, I've broadened my interests over many brands of pipes and tried a lot of various tobacco genres, from aromatics to English. More recently, I have discovered a passion for Ian Walker's work (Northern Briars) and most of my modest collection is now represented by his pipes, with a few exceptions (Peterson, Savinelli and Stanwell).
As for tobacco, I mostly fancy Burleys, VA/PER (Escudo, Dunhill, er, Peterson Elizabethan Mixture), and aromatics (like Peterson University Flake and Erinmore Flake, for example).
On a more personal aspect, I am currently retired after serving with the Royal Canadian Navy and live in Newfoundland. I love reading, photography, hiking, scuba diving and all things pipes and tobacco related.
I'm hoping to find a nice community with people who love sharing their experiences about our hobby.
