It was 100 degrees in the shade this afternoon, so which fool do you think was mowing his lawn? That's right, this one. Finished and it's down to 90, so it's time for some smoking. Up this evening: Sansepolcro in a Radice Rind Billiard with Faux Bamboo shank; WC Blue Ridge Special in a '49 Dunhill Shell LB F/T; and Sutliff Match 20 in a GBD Prehistoric 9448 with a Perspex stem. Cold beer on the side. Raymond Chandler to read.
May we live, not by our fears but by our hopes; not by our words but by our deeds; not by our disappointments but by our dreams.

Earlier, Five Brothers in a bent Dublin shop pipe. Then, Kendal Plug in a bent nosewarmer. Then, Balkan Sobranie in an Old German Clay with aluminum band. Now, PS Dark Fired Kentucky in a bent Dublin shop pipe.
greets all & happy holiday. Usual walks earlier, no-band 5/50 f0r company. After the Ed is fed, '06 daVinci in Brebbia Jubilee 1997 blast calabash & continue with the papers. Some yard work planned, weather permitting.
Presently I have a bowl of 5100 in a bent brandy made by Ron of RdPipes.
This was a Christmas present from Ron, back when he knew I couldn't afford one of his masterpieces. It is a pipe that along with the others that I have purchased, that will be the only ones, along with the one from Cramps, that I will definitely take with me if I have to evacuate because of a hurricane or other natural disaster.
greets & hope all had a nice 3-day weekend (if affected). In from usual 2-miles power walks, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, '06 daVinci in large Ascorti spot-carved billiard (made for Tinderbox in early 90s)& continue with the papers. Yard work ahead depending on conditions
62, high in low 70s & mixed bag, could have some rain
Sutliff Rum and Maple in a Butz Choquin First quarter bent bulldog. I don't know where my pipe cleaners are, or my ash trays, or my lighters. I have to smoke a pipe then I stack it on a paper plate with the other dirty pipes. I am so sore I can barely move. 😒
I would rather cut off my arm than live under tyranny!
KBV Yoshimi's Robo Burlesque this morning and afternoon. My first try was the other evening. I figured with the mention of chocolate, it would be good after dinner with coffee. It was ok, but not what I was thinking. But enjoyed it this morning in a cob with coffee. I think this one will become the alternate to KBV Burley Morning Pipe for morning smokes when off of work.
