Looks like a 1937-1955 KBB Yello-Bole Premier with a clearish Amber colored stem (anyone know the material), push tenon, circle P logo and a great outer bowl. This pipe is like new and mint. Some cracking on the finish, laquer or whatever they used back in the day and that is really it. Would love some more input to narrow down the date.

Fine looking pipe! Could it be a form of bakelite (sp?)

My first reaction is that it's lucite, maybe a replacement stem...but the bowl looks untouched.

That's an interesting pipe. I 'm pretty sure acrylic is a recent material for stems but I have no idea about bakelite. And it sure doesn't look like amber, either. Are the Yellow Boles briar or another type of wood? I find the tobacco chamber looks much different.

That is why the inside of the bowl looks different. It also aids you in dating the older YB's. I assumed the stem was original because of the logo. I guess it is possible someone could have done a logo on a replacement stem but seems like a stretch on a $1 pipe.

I have a yellow bowl burley made of brylon. The stem I think is acrylic. But it's only about 10yo.

Usually red or black.I'll weigh in on the side of replacement stem. Air holes in stems are extremely hard to clean, and that one looks pristine. Beautiful pipe, though. Real find.

The stem did not look like that when I got it. Restoration technique i have developed after years of research, many trials & errors and giving up. Then and only then did I read how on the internet. Haha

Considering that the bowl is so clean, but the stem has a P, I am thinking that the stem is a replacement from Petersons. The cracking on the finish is probably just from decades sitting but maybe the stem was lost? Peterson pipes are well known for the Perspex stems that really trip my trigger. rebornpipes.com/tag/perspex-stems/But then again, I may be way off course. It looks like a great Pipe!

Point made!
I saw the circled P and thought of Peterson, but you are right them stems scream GBD’s Per- stems.. they seem to be synonymous with GBD.
As I said, I may be wrong, and probably am!

I can't give you any more information on the pipe, but it does look like a great find. I hope it smokes well for you.
As for the colourless perspex...I'm not sure I like to see the tobacco staining inside. At least with the yellow one it's not so obvious.

Most of my perspex stems are coated with some kind of black inside. Even unsmoked ones.

Another "P" KBB Yello-Bole from ebay. I like this one. Is that the stem color or oxidation? I'm hoping it's the color. Edit: I see it's the color. Cool pipe, man!
