If you've had too much to drink and you're in a self driving car..Can you get arrested for DUI?

What if you are in the back seat? Not sure in some states you can not be intoxicated in the car if you have the keys in your possession.

There's no clear answer yet, it's new legal territory. Most states require the driver was in "actual physical control" and use the DUI definition, but some have a driving while impaired (DWI), or operating while intoxicated (OWI), or operating while visibly impaired (OWVI), or driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).
It's like a lady I knew getting a DUI for sleeping it off in her car in the parking lot; the cop said the keys were in the ignition, so I get the arrest, and we'll let the courts decide (she got a DUI, a driving while intoxicated).
There's different levels of "self-driving" too; some cars require you to be ready at the wheel if the car tries to kill you, and there's no completely self-driving car yet.
In other words, if you get pulled over drunk in an automated car, I'd bet on the cop wanting his arrest points and turning you over to the lawyers, but there's no legal yes or no yet - it's new territory.

 In my younger days of indulging about 3 in the morning I pulled over polluted into a little off-road picnic area. Woke up to tapping on the window it was a state trooper, get out he said, caint I’m sick, get out he says, caint I’m sick. Get out he says, Shoot me I said. I turned over and he finally went away.

Back in the good ol days the police would let you sleep it off or let you drive home as they followed. I am not much of a drinker these days for many years but have been told a DUI is very expensive now. Disobeying a order from a officer of the law is why are cities are burning now. I miss the good ol days.
