It's my first time trying flake tobacco. It's SG brown flake. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Should I dry it? How do I prepare or even pack a bowl? I am watching mottenchop piper and I feel confident. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Greatly appreciated.

Fold, twist, light, and smoke. It's just that easy with a bit of practice.

I've tried fold and stuff method. It doesn't work for me.
I roll it / fold it along its long axis, and rip off / pinch off about 1mm chunks. That works the best for me.

Make sure you let it dry some before smoking.

Make sure you let it dry some before smoking. I don't think SG ever NOT needs drying.

Try it a couple ways and see what you like best. Cube cut it, rub it out, fold n stuff. However, no matter which method, I agree with the needed dry time. My preferred method is to cube cut, nuke for 15 seconds on a paper towel, dump onto small drying plate (mine us wooden) and let rest a few minutes. Gravity pack and expect a few charring lights. Let us know how it goes!

Had my first bowl of SG perfect brown flake. It went rather well. No more relights than usual. A nice taste and aroma. I am going to be smoking another pipe tonight. I am proud to say I want to try and buy more flake tobacco. Any suggestions? Also how best to cellar flake?

I've enjoyed every SG blend I've tried. I have three in rotation now (BBF, FVF, St James), and those are in jars. I sealed the rest of my inventory inside Mylar bags.
