I'm still working remotely on the Mayan Rail project but moved out here for my girlfriend's new job. These days they've mostly got me explaining the project and its details to indigenous groups. We're really wanting to make sure that everyone is aware of the what's happening and what will be happening, most people in these parts haven't seen a working train in a generation! Wow, that's quite a job! I'll bet there are many opinions on this. I see that the United Nations is against it so it has that going for it. I hope that some jungle revolutionary doesn't try to blow it up. Maybe armored engine? To be fair, UNOPS and UN Habitat like us a lot; it's just their agency on Human Rights that is giving us the cold shoulder. We're going to put on a charm campaign and answer all their questions but in all honesty, many at that agency came with preconceived notions and haven't wanted to listen.

Germaine's King Charles in a Mehmet ali Barinci Meerschaum billiard with a smooth bowl. Peet's coffee at my side. Hadn't had this tobacco for some time and popped this tin from 2017 and really enjoying this light English. Of course, needed some drying time as this one was true to form for a Germaine's tin - very wet.

What an incredible day in the Sandhills. Weather was gorgeous, high 70's, slightly cloudy and low humidity. Tee'd em up with a good friend @ 3pm on Pinehurst #5. Had one of my best rounds in weeks... 2 over on the front, 1 over on the back for a 75 total. As is always the case, didn't waste an opportunity to enjoy several nice Arturo Fuente's and as many Oliva's. After grilling out some steaks on the grill for Blondie and myself, we played some cards and then watched a couple episodes of Hell on Wheels. She's now tucked in for the night and I'm up in the mancave enjoyin my first pipe of the evening.... Sipping this...
