With y'day's arrival I've finally got my rotation stable up to a decent number. Ten pipes should hold me for a while. I've kinda favored the Peterson line, as they just resonate with me. Picture here are... a Standard, an Army, and a Killarney Dublin. All are smoking very nicely. The Killarney seems to smoke a bit hot, but is still a good performer. (That's dust-mote or something on the Killarney, not a flaw.)

Congratulations on the great pipes. Petersons are notoriously hard to break in. I smear honey in the bowl before I smoke a new Pete. Actually, I thin it out with rum first. Let it dry over night then smoke the heck out of it.

Those make a solid addition to any collection. I hope you enjoy each one for many years.

Have two Petersons a sandblasted B42 and a rusticated Pub. Both p-lip I've been looking at the pub pipe. I like the looks and the price.

Nice looking pipe, that pub. Very much like my Standard (middle pipe in pic above). Standard has a nice self-sitting bottom and is cheaper, too. Anyway, you can’t smoke in pubs anymore. *Alas!*

With the arrival of my Roma churchwarden this afternoon I think I can stand down from pipe-buying for a while. My rotation stable now counts as ten and while not nearly the collection of some it should work for me for a while. At least until I see the next pipe I “must have.”
