Chestnut in a Scottie. Bowl #2 of this and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It certainly wasn't love at first puff.

Chestnut in a Scottie. Bowl #2 of this and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It certainly wasn't love at first puff. It’s funny how our tastebuds change over time or what our brain tells us. There are blends I’ve fallen in love with only to have the opposite effect the next time. Conversely, I’ve had others where I was on the fence. Then gradually discover it’s become my go-to smoke. Either my taste in blends is becoming more sophisticated or I’m just completely nuts! My wife would say the latter but that’s another story......

Georgian Creme in a Whitehall Jumbo carved billiard. You seem to like that Georgian Creme I didn't know at first, but it's grown on me. It was a very generous gift from another member and I am enjoying it. I have so many other blends that need attention that I don't think that I will be buying any, but it is a good change from my usual blends. No idea what is in it, some Virginia and more Burley with a light peach topping.

got the "triggers" off the two garden hoses, waiting on our "do it all" handy guy to show & disconnect hoses from house faucets(maybe left 'em up too long, a plumbers wrench with teeth wouldn't fit). Tea now at desk, '06 xtra latakia Blackpoint in LaughingBacchus meer in smoking room. Shower next, then snoozie & to sups later
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY gots 'em, smokes 'em since '62

Middlebury Mixture. This was one of the first blends I ever smoked. It was blended by Dick Silverman of Chief Catoonah Tobacconist. I believe he was in Jersey, but I can't recall for certain. I know that he passed away several years ago, and his shop was closed down and sold off. I suspect the recipe for this is gone along with it. I think I have maybe a pound of it stashed away, and after that, it's gone forever. From TR.com... even though there isn't a single review: "A careful balance of Matured Cake Virginia, Tennessee Burley and a fine blend of Turkish ribbon is mixed together with a small amount of Cyprian Latakia. The result is a mild and satisfying smoke for those who enjoy a light English mixture."
Edit: Upon further thought, I think his shop was actually somewhere in Connecticut.

Have been working on a single bowl of GH Happy Brown. In a MM cob. Mixed a little Prince Albert in with it. As some others do, I find the vitamin N can hit me. So hence the add in. Finally finished it up. Already planning what the bowl will bring tomorrow!

Ann. Kake in a Stack by Ron while contemplating what's for dinner, one more day of work and then I finally get to kick back in full measure. So close I can taste it, tastes like music, lots of coffee, and Grasmere. And Cannon Plug. Maybe some ABF. Hell, I'll have enough time off to taste them all and more.
