I posted an order on IPSC (Feb. 20th), and have received a few updates...

Did they automate the warehouse and the system crashed, or is it a supply chain issue?
Not a big deal, I have plenty of tobacco, but this is uncharacteristic for them.

The last two orders I placed with them never showed up under my account. I called them the first time and the told me that the order had shipped. It had in fact shipped because it arrived the next day. The other order I just waited and it arrived as well. Both orders still do not show up under my account anywhere, never showed up anywhere under my account, but since I did get my tobacco I wasn't really upset. It seems to me they took the Govt. approach and went with the lowest bid which always has the most issues. You get what you pay for, LOL.

...I'm running into the same issues...Ordered on 2/19 and keep getting those messages...I find it hard to believe myself...I've encountered a number of issues with this company over the last three years...

Geez, y'all must be holding your pipes in the wrong hand or maybe packing that pipe in the wrong way or heck your just maybe cursed or maybe you just have a cloud of bad karma surrounding you or maybe allot of people are better liked by P&C. (the better liked comment is a joke so don't get your pantaloons in a bunch, P&C likes everyone as long as your a customer and not a complainer)
I placed an order late night (19th)/early morning (20th) and had confirmation of the order sent to my inbox before I went to bed. Had a status email sent to me along with shipping confirmation by cocktail and smokey time that afternoon and the order was delivered and in my hands Wednesday morning. I even got a 30% off my next order coupon/code in the box but I shredded that in my handy dandy home shredder just so that I can't use it on my next order because I feel privileged and honored to not only be lucky enough that they will allow me to buy from them but that they also give me the quality of service and the super low prices I get.
I wish I had known of your small problems when they called my on Wednesday thanking me for ordering from them again and just checking to be sure that I didn't have any problems with my order. If I had know I could have asked them last Wednesday to look into your problems.
Now on a more serious note, next time just pick up the phone and call them to place your order. You then know they have it and you have a confirmation number along with them telling you exactly when it should ship. The phone may be old fashioned but using it can avoided many problems. I think the next time they call me to thank me for my business and check on there quality of service I'll suggest to them to get rid of there computer ordering process because so many people seem to have so many problems with it.
Did y'all at least get your 30% IPSD special discounts?

I certainly wasn't bitching about P&C, all businesses hit a snag now and then, it is what it is. Discussing it here probably helps others to understand why their order isn't showing up in their inbox if they missed any status updates... I certainly don't care to call and tie up their phone lines with unnecessary calls, I know that my order will get here when it gets here.

my little $30 order didnt have one bulk shipped and i keep getting that same email also...not a huge thing but i didnt get that one product..any packing list..and on my account it is still marked as processing...

Got my order from the 18th yesterday. There was no packing slip. And it was missing 3 items that the site showed in stock. And yes it will shows it is processing on their site. Over time the problems will be resolved.

Ok, we all know they are having a few problems and were crippled when implementing new computer software. They are doing there best to work the problems and fix them and in the software industry just because you fix a problem does not mean that then another problem is seen or found in a cascading effect. It takes time and I wonder just how much time is being wasted trying to field what seems to be a never ending flood of what seems to be never ending daily phone calls and emails from people on a daily basis who are just not happy because there is a problem and that they cannot get instantaneous responses that satisfy them and being told that there order is being specially hand delivered by the magical Pipes and Cigars elves in just a few moments.
Give it a rest already. P&C is one of the top notch companies in our hobby. Give them a break already because it is almost to the point of bashing them over and over and over again and again and again. If your that upset never buy from them again and never speak of them again. If your that upset with them and have an order or orders caught up with all of this then show your disdain and refuse the order/s when it/they arrive.
Now just ask yourselves this simple question. Is this all really worth it? They'll get the problems worked and fixed and be better than they were before and that is all we can ask of them but until then ... hearing and seeing copied posts from all over the interwebz is just beating a dead horse. Grab a pipe, fill it and light it and move along to something more positive and joyful.
Ya know, I think I will do exactly that and then surf P&C's site and figure out my next order with them.

I am a loyal customer and plan on being so into the future. I happened to see a link at The Gentleman's Pipe Smoking Society that I thought was pertinent information for people that have orders in limbo, and posting the article helps people better understand the challenges that they are facing. Based on Crapgame and Peteguy's response, I think that passing on information is a positive.

One of the objectives of this site is to share information that is beneficial to the community. I believe that is what Charlie intended and accomplished with his post.
Knowing what is happening in a clear concise way over at P&C is beneficial to anyone who may be struggling with an order and goes further to helping calm any anxiety than it does to fueling it.

Charlie, my response was quite positive,I am grateful for info like this..If I plan on placing a gift order then I need to plan accordingly now knowing that there are some glitches in the computer system and there is a possibility in shipping delays.

Yes, passing on information is important but how MANY times does the same information has to be passed on? They implemented a new computer system that spiraled them into the abyss of problems and they are doing there best to correct the problems and get back to normalcy. That information has been passed numerous times but there are those who just seem not happy until they know all the details upon details upon details of what happened and what is happening. This is what I mean by give it a rest already. I can only imagine how much time they are having to waste on just trying to explain this over and over again.
Thanks though for being a diligent informant to the masses of the utmost detailed findings of the situation even though it still basically says they implemented a new software system that basically crashed there business and that they are doing there damnedest best to get caught up and back to normalcy while asking there loyal customers to understand and be patient.

Justin I could not agree more with you, there is no reason anyone should stop being an active member because another member wants to be the "Great and All Knowing" member that will berate any member for being part of what he considers the "Great Unwashed" segment of pipe smokers. Hello. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here. Has anybody had any updates from pipes and cigars regarding the presidents day sale and the issues they had or are still having? I finally did get part of my order a couple weeks ago. But still showed several items back ordered, one being the late-night Latakia sampler. I sent them an email, asking if they could just give me an update on the backordered items. I never received a reply. Last week I got a shipping notification that items are being delivered. One of the items I had backordered was some softy bits. That is all that was delivered. Which surprised me considering the late-night Latakia sampler shows in stock. I sent a second email this past weekend regarding a new order I had placed on Saturday night and again no reply. No I have not tried to call them. I understand they are having technical issues and am trying email first. In the past when I have emailed them they responded within 24 hours. Im also a having a small billing issue that I guess will now require a phone call.
It's just frustrating. They've been so good in the past but now I'm having so many little issues, nothing major but just frustrating.
So as I mentioned just wondering if others are still having issues?

A quick note: I placed an order on Saturday evening and got a notice of shipping on Monday afternoon. Yes, the problems that P&C had caused major headaches for us all. I am glad things are starting to turn around for them.

Looks like problems with shipping again, ordered tobacco on 5/2/2017 as of 5/6/2017 "still processing". Looking like I will order from SmokingPipes.com from now on, faster and cheaper.

On 5/2, I bought a bulk pound each of 4 different varieties, two shipped the next day and the other two are backordered...but with the $50.00 off coupon I don't really mind....but I have a boatload of tobacco on hand.
