No, never tried it. Probably won't since I've pretty much give up alcohol and never cared for bourbons. Thanks for the recommendation though. Also, I was wrong about the Courvoisier. It's Hennessy. Just dunked the last of my Z92 in some. Hoping for that 2# deliver today.

I seem to have given up alcohol myself, but not on purpose. I just forget to drink. 😐 I have a lifetime supply at this rate even if I return to my adult peak.

I’m rushing my infusions but was interested in trying the latest, the Hennessy. It’s the lightest of the three I have done so far, with the Z92 still performing its role and the result being sweet, mild, even if less “robust” than the whisky/whiskey attempts. I’m sure I am not imagining it, but there is a definite “buzz” effect from all these, and effect I do NOT get from the straight Z92. So far the Glenmorangie gets tops honors and is one I will be making more of. Fortunately I still have an unopened bottle of the stuff— enough to last my lifetime no doubt. Also there is also unopened Pendleton, regular and Black Bushmills, Evan Williams (bourbon) and assorted dregs. Lots left for playtime!

Today’s outrage... Underwhelmed by Villiger English I jarred 1/2 ounce of it with 1/2 tsp of BärenJäger Honey & Tea liqueur. That’s the super-sweet stuff you chug for a sore throat.) Also, 1 tsp of the same stuff with 1 oz of Z92. Reports to follow...

Wellllll.... I’m suspending my experiments with liquors/liqueurs for the time being, and perhaps for good. They look good, smell wonderful, and some smoke very tasty, BUT... they have really done a number on my taste buds, such as they are. My recent chili, always savory and richly flavored, “tasted” like a non-descript bean mush. I had to freeze most of it, for later. This is a disappointment, but a minor one. Meanwhile, there is always good ol’ Z92.

That occurred to me, too. But I have none of the other so-called symptoms and it’s been many days since I had contact with another homo sapiens.

Me neither. But I do know that my taste buds are returning from AWOL. Slow but definite. This morning’s after-b’fast bowl of Z92 in my Roma churchwarden was delightful.

I would agree. I think 1 symptom is enough to get a wee check.

Since I have no other symptoms and feel fine, going out for a “check” might be more dangerous than just sitting tight.

Besides, it’s deer season. Ain’t got no time for any steenkin’ checks.
