Welcome from the PNW. I’m a newbie too ( been on this site for three weeks) and loving every minute of it. As one person posted please ask questions! That’s the beauty of this forum with lots to learn about all things pipe. Along the way you’ll make some friends too. Like you, one of the best things about being a newbie is trying all the different tobacco blends. Enjoy your journey and please participate in the various forums. All the best.......
“Gentlemen... you may smoke,” King Edward VII on his Coronation.
From another forum: Columbus, OH is home to a large concentration of pipe smokers. The North American Society of Pipe Collectors (NASPC) is based there and their annual pipe show is in Dublin every August. There is also Premal Chedda and Smoker's Haven (a pipe maker nexus). Scott Townsend and Jesse Jones run Blue Room Briars out of Marysville. Sally Gottliebson runs The Pipe Tart out of Columbus. Plus, there are multiple pipe shops. It should be pretty easy to find other pipe smokers to hang out with around Columbus by contacting any of the above.
