Some of you here know this, but for the last 2 weeks I've been quarantined... With Rona! ;-(
All in all it hasn't been too bad. It was like a bad cold or mild flu.
The worst thing has been the diminished sense of taste and smell.
I didn't smoke a pipe for almost a week, and even when I started back it was pretty much tasteless.
As of this evening I'm back to about 50% taste. I'll call that a "Win".

So glad to hear you are doing well. Did Blondie test positive also? And if so, how is she doing?

Sorry to hear you've been through this Dino, but happy to hear you are coming out the other side. My wife and I both tested positive on Oct. 5 and are now doing well, although, my sense of taste/smell is only now starting to return. I taste more than I smell at this point but it is starting to return. I agree that the smoking experience was pretty bland. I guess the good news is you can smoke the cheapest tobacco out there, as it doesn't really matter! I'm trying to smoke stuff I normally don't just to see how it goes and saving the really good stuff for when I can smell more. Best wishes for a full recovery for all!

I'm not sure how I missed that info. I'm glad you're through it though. It seems to be a lottery as to how badly people get it. My brother in law has it and hasn't been able to lift his head for a week now.
Now's the time to smoke a load of royal yacht.
Hope you get back to full recovery soon.

Congrats on feeling better Dino.
My fiancé and I had "the covid" about 4 months ago. She has crohns disease and it kicked the %&$@ out of her for about a week. Ended up in the hospital. She is fine now. I was only slightly effected. It gave me a headache for three days. No loss of taste or other symptoms. Everyone is different.
Welcome back!

Wow guys,
Thanks for all the well wishes.
Blondie tested positive as well. She only had it bad for a day or so.
We were talking about this at dinner last night, our friends (the one's I caught it from, both have some pre existing medical conditions and both experienced almost 2 weeks of feeling really bad. Thankfully no hospital visit though.
Blondie and I both are healthy, no blood pressure, cholesterol or other issues. We also eat pretty good, no soda pop or sweets really.
We are both very thankful that we came through this with relatively little major issues.

I'm glad that everyone is well or at least better. Being 70, we're doing all we can to avoid it.

Glad to hear you are both doing well. Fortunate your cases(s) weren't severe. I had my annual physical yesterday and my doctor was telling me about another of his patients. A 40 year old policeman from the Bay Area who contracted it. He caught it running down a felon in the streets. The man is quite fit, but he experienced an extreme case. The effects including brain and lung issues are continuing after several months. Catching it is certainly not limited to us old folks. Doc said the man's lucky he didn't die, but he doesn't know when he might ever be back to normal health. In California the worst cases are in Southern California in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Highest population areas in the state. Also where people flagrantly disregard the rules. I just don't get it. Wearing a mask is not apolitical statement , it's showing respect for the health and safety of your family and friends.
