Moving some things around today, to make room for the upcoming Christmas tree, I found a Longaberger basket that held 300 pipe cleaners, briar pipes by Dr Grabow, Kaywoodie, Dr Plum, Pipe Hut, Falcon, Lorenzo, Comoy ,and more, eighteen in all, plus 2 N.I.B, Zippos, 3 cobs, cleaning tools and my long lost T-handle reamer set. This entire harvest was packed away and forgotten five years ago ,when I surrendered my bedroom desk in a makeover of our bedroom. As you might imagine, I'm really happy right now, as I'd almost given up on finding some of these items ,and others ,like two small Gerber multi tools, I'd completely forgotten The joy of cleaning!!!

That's what I am afraid of happening to me in five years.

Things are easy to misplace..I lost a box in a move once.It had some cheap pipes and some extra stems that I had saved.I never found it..I'm glad you found yours..Christmas came early for you.

I have told my wife several times that if ANYTHING happens to that box marked RADICE, it's over. I'm done. I moved it 3 times today.

I might not be able to find my phone, sunglasses (look on your head) or keys but I could probably find anything in the 20 totes I have some of the collection stored in within a half hour. The other day I did accidentally find a bag of 1Q in a decorative humidor that I hadn't looked in years that was as fresh as the day it was made.

Heck... if it’s not on the top shelf in the fridge, I won’t find a thing!

Found 2 of my dad's pipes in the storeroom today that I didn't know I had. Haven't had a chance to look at them yet. Still no Peterson that I put away years ago.

Not at all pipe related, but today we discovered two small cedar chests in my Ma's closet{ Ma lived with us for 36 years and passed back in 2014 }a place we've not been able to change over the last few years. Anyway, one was full of old coins, going back to large one cent coins from the 1700s, the other held old photos ,including one from the thirty's of my Grandad and my four uncles at a sawmill they worked at, one of nine little girls at school ,my Ma ,her sister, and I was told over the years that one was June Carter. also among the pictures and documents were my school photos ,all the way back to age six, and my Mon's 1952 W2 from Woolworth. Tender and tearful finds.

And don’t forget the wah-WING! ricochet SFX.

And don’t forget the wah-WING! ricochet SFX. It can wait until I get time. The locks on the cheap foot lockers are easy to pop off with a screwdriver. I just didn't want to take time to go through it. The wife was going through boxes while I was stowing the boxes in the loft. Still, your idea sounds like more fun. 😉🤠
