I recently tried two KBV blends Kings Ransom and Mountain Madness and enjoy them both. Has anyone else here tried his blends? Likes or dislikes and recommendations please.

Burley, and Burlier, Morning Pipe are fantastic. Live Wire is fantastic. Robo Burlesque is fantastic. Jupiter, and Byronic, Slices are fantastic. The English Fragrant is fantastic. Spaghetti Western 2 is fantastic. You get the picture. Truly, though, there have been a few stinkers, and flops. Last year's Thanksgiving blend was horrendous. Sakura fell flat for me. Some things that I didn't expect to be topped, were, and in a confusing way. Over all, though, way more home runs than foul balls.

I love the MoM, Sakura is a great blend, but not an everyday smoke for me, but it scratches an itch that no other tobacco does. Burley Morning Pipe is also great. Those are all I've had.

Burley Morning pipe. I would never have tried it. But to many here talked highly of it. Glad I did. It starts every day that I don’t work

Forgive my ignorance, but what does KBV stand for?

It stands for Ken Byron Ventures; an outstanding blender (in my opinion). Verge Engine Overdrive is my favorite that I have tried. I still have a lot to try, however.

One of the other members told me about ken Byron Ventures. I ordered two of the three he mentioned to me and enjoyed them. So I thought I would ask here and see what you all had to say. Got the last payment on the wifes truck made and paid off both credit cards. So I just ordered 8 more KBV to try! Yes I rewarded myself.

Several of them sound very interesting. I would say probably worth a try. I'm just boring and stick with what I like.

I've had about 9 or 10 of KBV's blends. Really enjoy them all, with some qualification. Sakura is an occasional for me. Very floral, reminds me of the Lakelands. Goblin Mixture seems to me very Oriental heavy. A smooth smoke, but only occasional for me. Verge Engine and Byronic Fragments are exceptional Virginias. However they could do with some aging, so I've put those away. Mountains of Madness, King's Ransom and Notorious are real favorites of mine. Smoke them all the time. Though, I understand MoM has been replaced with Plateau of Leng and Kings Ransom has been updated for 2021. Yoshimis Instant Crush does just fine for that occasional very light aro. Dark Fired Cherry is unusual. I can't quite figure it out. I'll let you know when I do.

So, Live Wire is probably my favorite that he makes. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, it's getting replaced by "Hey Wire". Supposedly, it'll be closer to what you'd get from a Germain's offering. I think Live Wire is dang close to a Germain's jam as it is. Crossing fingers.

Only had Sakura and it’s a great blend. But I don’t see my self chasing after his blends as they seem very niche and honestly I got enough blends I know I love.
