I had just committed to buying more ingredients for my home brew when what should I find on P&C but the soul-crushing news that Hearth & Home Delta Days has been discontinued. This was 50% of my mix. I've never been much of a VaPer guy so this was really the only one I had enjoyed; didn't really care for it straight but (for me anyway) it was a winner when mixed 50/50 with Carter Hall. I experimented today with rubbed-out PS Bullseye in place of the DD and it really fell flat. No idea what to try instead. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If anyone is familiar with Delta Days and has some thoughts about a replacement blend that might be somewhere close I'd sure like to hear it. Has the tobacco apocalypse begun? Is my wonderful discovery, Dragonfly, destined to lie on the scrap heap of home blend history?

Sometimes one or more of us stumble on to a mix (usually unable to duplicate it more than once) I think Josh (roadsdiverged) and my buddy AJ came up with something spectacular once...fortunately for me I had AJ make up a couple of pounds of which I have stored it in my cellar, most of it was old McClelland selections so that is now just plain history. But....good luck!

Does this have anything to do with the "Purpose of a Stinger"?

A reprieve: tobaccopipes had 20 oz. of Delta Days in stock; bought it all. Long term I still need to find a replacement though.

I've never tried Delta Days, but from the list of ingredients and descriptions i'd say it would be worth trying out Cornell & Diehl's Old Joe Krantz or maybe Haunted Bookshop. Good luck in your search!
