Good day all. Going to be placing another tobacco order this week. I'm wondering if smoking pipes or any other sites do any black Friday sales that would be worth waiting for. Thought I'd ask here as you all may know better then I.

I haven't bought much tobacco in the last few years as I am sitting on what I have, but it seems to me that P&C and Smokingpipes seems to have slacked off on the big sales of the past, guessing that it is because of market forces. For instance a few years back JimInks, he gave me a heads up on Dunhill Navy rolls at $10 and change...I think that horse left the barn. Keep your eyes peeled and fire off an email or two to the respective sites, they generally are pretty good about getting back to you.

P&C
Happy Thanksgiving from the P&C Family! Here at P&C, we adore this traditional holiday. Nothing beats feasting with family and friends and taking a day to relax and recharge. And who doesn’t love a post-meal smoke – of course, we are slightly biased. In the interest of keeping your celebration long and our interruption short, let us get straight to the point. We are kicking off Cyber Weekend a day early this year. The first of many outrageous promotions starts right now! Fresh from the Pipes & Cigars Mint is a new round of P&C Cash, and it has never been easier to earn. Shop for all your regular goodies for when you spend $75, $10 of P&C Cash will be added to your package. If your cart hits $100 or more, we will double that and give you $20 of P&C Cash. This P&C Cash Extravaganza is available to everyone, with NO exclusions until Monday, November 30, 2020, at 11.59 PM. Hurry up and make your claim before the “bank” runs dry.

I wish the UK could have money off tobacco...they aren't allowed to, or maybe they don't because there's such a small markup after all the tax. Not sure, but there's NEVER a deal on tobacco. Some pipes get discounted though.

Very happy for those who can do mail order tobacco...and I mean that. Fortunately I have an unnamed family member just across the border who will hold my orders for me until I can pick them up. Kind of a remote cellar sort of thing.

Funny but not I grew up where they grow a lot of weed and I mean a lot. More of it was shipped by the united states postal service than any person tried to smuggle across state lines and you cant ship pipe tobacco to Washington state? I believe Oregon just passed a bill/law making it legal to do hard drugs but you have to buy hard alcohol at a state run liquor store. Things are odd in the US today

I am amazed at the changes she saw.

That all must have been mind blowing, and it is pretty cool to have conversed with someone that actually talked to people from the old west.

She did talk about the Great Storm, and being a nurse before antibiotics and such a little bit. She was always busy. I tried to talk to her once while she was sewing, and she sewed her finger in the machine. 😳. After that I was careful about when I tried to talk to her. She cooked and sewed and crocheted and talked about her other grandkids and went to church. My mom had a interesting life too. She knew Howard Hughes and partied with Ann Miller. I meant to get her story on video tape, but she died suddenly before I got around to it. One thing I remember was not much happened that was memorable for my grandmother before the Storm, and the things she remembered weren't the most interesting things going on at the time.

It would be like coming out of the Dark Ages straight to the Renaissance. Sadly you’d have to throw in two world wars.....

My mom worked in a refrigerator factory during the second war.
