That is a beautiful pipe, glad to see it performs as well. Without checking and relying on memory, I think that is top shelf in their lineup.

Without checking and relying on memory, I think that is top shelf in their lineup. yeah to my limitated knowledge this is the top line of savinelli, no fills and hand made stem. Also is only the 0,1 percent of the total production of the factory that means that for every 100000 pipes that the factory makes you only get a 100 of those

Here's a good example (not my pipe - I googled 'bird's eye grain')... great! such a clear example also I think I understood that the "maple" part is not related to pipes I think our good friend was referring to the one you see in fourniture

When you cut a straight grain pipe horizontally, it yield the Birdseye, it must be a conundrum for a pipe maker when he observes a block of briar on which way to go.

A very nice pipe indeed. A 3 dot pipe is a good quality more appealing pipe. I have a couple of Brigham 3 dots. The more dots the higher quality, more appealing briar.
And alow me to express a warm welcome to the patch.

I've never heard of canadians being that difficult to make, they're actually quite common. Outside of Savinelli's Signature series, the Giubileo d'Oros are they're top of the line, and though I own three of them, they don't smoke any differently than any of the other Savinelli lines.
