Finishing up last nights bowl of 3 Oaks. In a Radice. Black coffee. I just brought a car down to AZ from Chicago. Since this is only the 5th time I’ve been here this year. It’s like having all new pipes and tobaccos to choose from.
Food in the fridge, Check. Liquor in the cabinet, Check. Matches and a lighter, Check. Tobacco (plenty) Check.
I ain’t going anywhere for a couple days, Check. 😆

One of them. Typically at least one bowl a day. Father Dempsey has become a standard as well.

Yes, was going to mention that too after you post. Funny... despite living thousands of miles away, it’s amazing how quickly you get to know people (based on their posts). We do indeed live in a Global Village.

greets again all. Usual walks earlier, no-band 6x42 for company ( to finish later while sitting out back & misc reading). After the Ed is fed, '06 "mostly latakia" in Ser Jac Rowlette "scoop" & continue with the papers. Semi-busy day ahead, depending on wife's needs

Another round of the Amphora Virginia/ Sunset Rum combo, in an Ascorti tan blast lavat...this combo works so well for me that I may mix up a jar for the new year.

Good morning from Greece, he had heavy rain with thunders here in Athens but now everything looks better. I am smoking Cornell and Diehl White Burley in a Vauen. Here is my pipe-smoking bag which i always carry with me when i am out in the Cafe for example. Filters (front pocket not visible), tamper main and auxiliary, tweezers for extracting dirty filters, drill for cleaning the hole of the bowl, screwdriver for adjusting the flame intensity of the lighter, pipe cleaners cotton and synthetics. Leather pipe support base, lighters: Zippo, simple butane and torch type, matches. Nice kit! Solid organization!

Erinmore Flake in a Brigham Voyageur, sitting under a palm tree in the swamp and looking out for squirrels.. . Both the flake and the pipe are new to me, and I am finding both to be outstanding! .

Frog Morton Cellar in a Peterson XL02 Dublin Edition. Coffee on the side. I got into piping to late to enjoy Frog Morton unfortunately. Is there a tobacco that compares?

I like Erinmore flake, quite a good smoke. Just don’t confuse Erinmore mixture as the same, they are not.

There are a few things that try to be like it. Some are even better in some pipes in my opinion, but when iit's just right, in my dedicated pipe, nothing comes close. No one will make an exact copy because the tobaccos are no longer available. Mountains of Madness is close in my opinion. Very satisfying.

I was at a point that I just did not care for aromatics... but gave Erinmore a try and I am very happy I did... I've created a new category in my head of "old school aromatics"

I get the taste of juicy fruit gum when I smoke Erinmore Flake. Not a fan of aromatics either, but this one is a winner.
