I called the pharmacy today to see when I can get the vaccine..They said around the end of January first of February..At 78 years old I'm in a high risk group.If the vaccine helps me not get the virus I'm ready to roll up my sleeve..Actually I only wear short sleeves.

Given the urgency of the situation and the apparent scarceness of this needed medicine, seems to me that now is a good time to reintroduce "Fishburn's Patent Tonic". Yes, sir, this is The McCoy developed here and tried and proven. The label says it all. I will be accepting orders directly. Sadly, Kirk Fishburn is no longer with the organization.  |

I just asked at the local CVS, and they had no idea. I use Rite Aid, and checked their website this morning.
They expect retail pharmacies won't be dispensing it until groups 2 and 3.
We old folks (group 1b and 1c) will have other arrangements (hospitals, community health centers, etc.)

It seems that this will be a long drawn out roll out for vaccine allocations/availability. For example Phase 1C for those age 65-74 (my group) isn't estimated to even begin for another 7 weeks approximately and will take approximately 13 weeks to complete! The young folks will have time to catch CV-19 a couple of times before they are in line for vaccination! The whole roll out over all groups is expected to take 25 weeks! I will continue to live as a hermit as much as possible and pray for myself and everyone else! The vaccine can't get here soon enough..A week ago I didn't know anyone who actually had the virus.I now personally know 6 people who have it..It's hitting really hard here in Carolina.

Yep, Politicans already cutting the line! I noticed the politicians of a certain party who maintained this virus was a hoax and overblown by the liberal media are among the first in line to be vaccinated. Ironic that, eh? I make no refence to either party. |

I could give a rats arse if the virus kills me off. I spent many days in beds other than my own, travelled countless thousands of miles while people holed up in their homes...I did not have the option of working from home. Having said that, the possibility of the virus killing me off is probably less of a danger than travelling the roads I did with stupid drivers and inclement weather, and contracting the regular flu.
I understand retirees and people with compromised health, I get it and it is best to follow the course of action that is best for your situation.
I do what is best for my situation by using common sense, washing my hands regularly (as I have always done), and being respectful of the requirements by a business as far as masking.
Not crapping my pants anytime soon over the nonsense though...In a sane world, we would hold China accountable, but sanity left the barn a long time ago.
