I posted in another thread about my first pipe-of-quality. It's a Sav Pisa. It's the only Savinelli pipe I've seen that doesn't take a filter. All my other ones I use the little plastic adapter things in. Does anyone know of other unfiltered Savinelli pipes?

About half of mine don't use filters.

I have a little Savinelli that I got off the bay a while back, it's a big gurgler.

Do you notice any difference between the two to make you ask the question?

This is the only Savinelli I have. It is a Cumberland 806. No filter and smokes well.

Yep...I have Savs with and without filter tenon. If it takes a filter, I use it, since I like the filter function of removing some of the moisture. To each his own on that.

These are my 2 Savinelli’s with no filter. The top 1 is a De Luxe 128 and the other is a Oscar Lucite

For currently made Savinelli lines, the vast majority are 6mm and need an adapter to be unfiltered. However, there are three currently produced lines which are made with standard push tenons (ie unfiltered). These lines are Tre, Punto Oro Classic, and Autograph Mignon. Tre is one of the base line series like Oscar and Trevi. For Punto Oro, it is specifically the Punto Oro Classic line; the "Classic" indicates a standard push tenon. Similarity, for Autograph Mignon it specifically the Mignon line. Autograph Mignon is a line of smaller pipes which have standard push tenons.

Do you notice any difference between the two to make you ask the question? Nope, but I don't use a filter in my filtered Savs. I use the adapter thingie.

My one Sav takes the balsa filter, but I don't use a filter or the adapter. I really like the wide open draw.
