I don't understand folks who keep trying to live in the past..My sister who lives in Tennessee is one of them..I'm speaking in particular about her phone. She has a home phone. She can't make long distance calls on it,but she can receive them. She has a cell phone that is 15 years old and doesn't half work..She calls me on her cell phone we can't carry on a conversation so she hangs up and I call her back on her home phone..This happened again a few minutes ago..I politely told her that this is silly and irritating..I told her to stop living in the past and tell Santa to bring her a new phone..Wasted words I know but I had to Try.

Wait, you mean your sister's figured out a way to avoid endless e-mails, texts, long phone conversations, targeted advertising, and personal location tracking? How may I subscribe to her newsletter?

I hated the dial phones. They hurt my finger. I do miss the peace of not being reachable, but, that's progress.

Am I inside looking out Or outside looking in? And can I help but doubt that Im ever gonna win When I cannot tell if Im the spectator...or the sport?
This world is very fast or I am frightful slow Yet I hold on to the past while in my heart I know that the past gets left behind With any fool bound to it.
But my ways are still my ways. 'cause who's else can they be? So I will weave today on a loom I've built for me a cloth both course and rustic With a pattern vaguely primeval.

Had a good Lady friend that always called me a Luddite & I didn't know whether that was a compliment or not, didn't know what that word meant. After about a month I googled it, still don't know whether its good or bad..

They failed spectacularly.

Ever see an entire place of business shut down because the computer or phones failed? Stores with product on the shelf to be sold, people with money standing there wanting to buy those products, but cant because a tiny bit of modern technology has ground everything to a halt? I have. It's gotta make you wonder...

Still using it. It's silly to buy a new phone every time a new model comes out. A complete waste of money.

I like my landline, it doesn't need electricity and it lets me separate work calls from life calls.

And the remaining 10% will be running around like Mad Max. Something to look forward to.
